NICHE COCOA PRESENTS GHANA BOXING AUTHORITY WITH GHC 100,000 TOWARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF BOXING IN GHANA:

WBO International Featherweight champion, Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogboe in collaboration with Niche cocoa on Wednesday,7th September, organised a Boxing Clinic dubbed “Books In The Ring” for children at Bukom Park.

Mr Lloyd Ashely On behalf of Niche Cocoa and Isaac ”Royal Storm” Dogboe presented a cheque of GHC100,000 to Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA) as part of their corporate social responsibility(CSR) and a way of giving back to society.

Speaking to the press during the closing ceremony, Mr Lloyd Ashley said they were there to fulfil their promise of supporting the sport as they believe there are more potential champions out there.

He indicated that it is time for boxing to take Ghana back to the world map and urged other boxers to emulate what Isaac Dogboe has started. He concluded his speech by calling on other corporate entities to come on board and support the sport and hoped that Niche will realise the effect of the sponsorship to help have more “NEHOs” for Ghana boxing.

Dogboe who is an Ambassador to Niche Cocoa spoke on the motive behind the gesture and stated that it was a way of encouraging the young potential boxers and help develop their talents .He also indicated that Boxing is a discipline sport and that there’s the need to combine boxing and education for the betterment of boxers.

Isaac Dogboe informed the media that the rational behind this initiative is to donate and contribute to the efforts of GBA and also help in the development and promotion of the sport as well as in the grooming and nurturing of more potential champions.

Dogboe who is a brand Ambassador for Niche Cocoa,the taste of Ghana, thanked his sponsors and all those who supported him for a successful event.

He commended Niche for the cash donation to the GBA and thank Ghanaians who prayed for him to secured a split point decision in his last fight against Joet Gonzalez.

According the former world champion his main focus now is to become a two time world champion and he is on track for any of the titles… either WBC, WBO, WBA or IBF.

The GBA President, Abraham Kotei Neequaye expressed his joy and satisfaction for the gesture offered the GBA by Niche Cocoa on behalf of Isaac Dogboe. He thanked Niche and Dogboe for the unprecedented cash donation of GHC 100,000 to the GBA and pray that Dogboe regains the world title belt for the second time.“Because you love to give, God will also reward you in a bigger way” said the GBA President.

Present at the event were representatives of Niche Cocoa, Mr. Lloyd Ashley, Gladys Amoah, Nana Akyere Agyaku (PRO of Team Dogboe), Mr. Fiifi Banson(renowned broadcast journalist), former Black Stars striker, Augustine Arhinful.

Also in attendance were GBA executive board members,boxing trainers and other officials of the sport.

The day saw kids displaying their raw boxing talents in juvenile boxing bouts and other games organized at the event sponsored by Niche Cocoa.
