On behalf of the entire boxing fraternity and stakeholders,the Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA)wishes to commend the management of Imax Media Group led by the Chairman/CEO,Maxwel Techie for their efforts.
The official signing of a five(5) year developmental partnership at the Mudor Conference Center on Thursday 23rd December,2021 Trust Sport Emporium held the entire nation and stakeholders in boxing spellbound because little did anyone foresee another professional boxing league could be introduced after over a decade of inactivity.

The 1.7 million dollars sponsorship package offered by Imax media group for a five year developmental partnership deal shall go a long way to propel boxers and their trainers as well as other stakeholders interested in the commercial aspect of boxing to be proactive and creative with packages.
GBA, as a strategic partner of such a groundbreaking partnership,is looking forward to a win-win situation with Imax Media Group and any other interested investor who wishes to partner the two entities.
As the President of Ghana Boxing Authority,I am super excited with this irresistible partnership with one of the leading, tried and tested broadcaster of our time.

The GBA believes this league concept will bring healthy and productive competition among boxers, gyms and boxing communities in Ghana.
It will also bring back the passion we need to rebrand and repackage boxing as one of the most lucrative venture(product) in the world.
The GBA has already put in place a mechanism to help check, control and manage all boxers on the boxing league radar regarding their nurturing, capacities and abilities from the professional view point.
The GBA by this release wishes to encourage all stakeholders especially boxers and trainers to believe in our new partnership with Imax Media Group and see it as an opportunity to explore every available career options that may appear in the process. I believe this concept brought to the fore the needed indicators we can all use to monitor, evaluate and shape talents of our boxers.
The Ghana boxing Authority will like to express its profound gratitude to representatives of the Minister for Youth and Sports, Eric Mensah Bonsu(Direcror, in-charge of HRM) and the Direcror General of National Sports Authority(NSA),Kwame Ampofi Jnr(Deputy Director,in-charge of Technical)respectively for their presences and wonderful submissions in support of the concept and partnership.
The GBA is profoundly grateful to the Managing Director of Trust Sports Emporium Limited, John Yaw Nimoh for his yeoman’s job. His leadership offered so much energy to the GBA before this historic day. His kind of leadership and understanding of nuances underpinned sports development is what the country Ghana needs.
The GBA is looking forward to prepare the grounds for a smooth take off,hopefully in February next year.
After a successful and historic grand launch of the much anticipated 1.7 million dollars Ghana Professional Boxing League, the time has come for corporate Ghana to join hands with us and let’s collectively make it happen.
